Hola amigos. Finally finished Soy Luna 4! How are we feeling? Personally, there were a lot of things I enjoyed but I definitely had my complaints.

spoiler free: I enjoyed seeing some familiar faces again. It was nice to hear the absent characters mentioned (though I still am confused why in the world Jazmin wouldn’t show up for an event like the one in the first episode). The villain of this season was quite strange and not my favorite, but I suppose I was engaged in the storyline. Matteo by far was my favorite part of this season, with Nina being my other highlight. Matteo felt very similar to himself in season one which I loved to see. The PAPA storyline had me laughing more than it should’ve. Overall, I did not like the ending, as most people haven’t, but seeing the gang skate together again had me emotional.

with spoilers: What can I say? My favorite ship from the show was crushed into oblivion (Simbar), though I expected that the moment Valentina wasn’t returning. What I still had hope for was Lutteo, and that was also ruined. They had so many good scenes this season and bounced off one another very well. I missed them more than I realized and their kisses really got me hoping they’d end up together. But alas, Lumón had to become canon once again. I felt they did Simón dirty this season — he seemed reduced to having a crush on Luna and lost most of his personality. It was strange how everything became SOOO awkward between them to the point where I was just frustrated. The Ámbar mentions were nice, but got me angry because WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY DID TRAVEL TOGETHER JUST TO BREAK UP??? Like NOOOOO!!! Sigh. On the flip side, Gastina was adorable. I almost wish there was even more of them, but for what we got, I was so happy. The mentions of their names in the sand got me EMOTIONAL. Thank goodness their names were kept by the sea after all. They made me so smiley and so happy!!! Pelfi was also really cute and I love that they got married. I still don’t get why their friends wouldn’t all come to their wedding, but it is what it is. The whole Azul/Valeria thing felt so forced and strange. I knew she was evil because of Mal, but even so, she seemed too eerily nice and then strangely malicious. I was just so confused with the whole thing. Salomé and her stepbrother were kinda boring but they didn’t make me mad so I guess that’s okay. Lola was kinda just there. She had her moments but I wasn’t invested or even that bitter towards her despite her crush on Simón. The PAPA scenes were amazing though. I thought they were so corny and so stupid and I absolutely adored them. Was it strange getting Luna and Simón involved? Yes. But I loved the overly dramatic acting more than I should’ve. Nina writing the episodes I also found weird though. Finally, I wish the skating scenes were filmed better. I didn’t love Vuelo as the finale, but that song does make me sentimental regardless. Overall, I enjoyed watching it. I know this summary seems critical, but that’s because it’s easier to focus on the things you don’t like in comparison to the best parts. Seeing everyone together again made me cry repeatedly and there were moments with Luna and Nina that make me miss the original series sooo much. I have to rewatch SL4 to truly formulate an opinion, but for what it is, I’m happy with some of the stuff we got. I still want my Lutteo though. And I’m running right back to the Simbar rose scene to recover.

*personally, I think Bia was the best — Vilu is the og icon but she’s SOOO frustrating sometimes (tbh Violetta the show is insanely frustrating in general); Soy Luna is my favorite show of the 3, however Luna herself also gets quite annoying by the third season (with all the Matteo drama and so); overall, I feel like Bia was the least annoying lol and idk I just love her
