Have you ever seen such a mushroom? Very unusual and beautiful color. Quite rare fungus - many experienced mushroom pickers have never seen it.

May 2024. Bulgarian forests are full of these mushrooms. But this is the first time we have seen such a large specimen 😲
This is a Blusher or Blushing amanita (Amanita rubescens, Бисерна гъба, Мухомор серо-розовый). The mushroom is edible and tasty, sought for in several European countries, including Bulgaria. The resemblance to the poisonous Panther amanita (Amanita panterina, Пантерка, Мухомор пантерный) is especially dangerous because these mushrooms grow in the same habitat.
So please follow the golden rule of a mushroom picker - if you don't know a mushroom, don't take it 🛑
