Took this right after a podcast on Friday.
What’s our response to people trying to silence truth?

Here’s how the first disciples responded-

Context- Acts 8:1-3
“And Saul approved of their killing him.

On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria. Godly men buried Stephen and mourned deeply for him. But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off both men and women and put them in prison.

Response- Acts 8:4-17

THOSE WHO HAD BEEN SCATTERED PREACHED THE GOSPEL WHEREVER THEY WENT.

Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah there. When the crowds heard Philip and saw the signs he performed, they all paid close attention to what he said. For with shrieks, impure spirits came out of many, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed. So there was great joy in that city.
When they believed Philip as he proclaimed the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.”

Ay man, persecution HELPED the early church like the wind helps seeds to spread into the earth.

So I’m gonna keep spreading the gospel by the Holy Spirit’s help.

If you’d like to hear what I was saying, let me take this opportunity to address my dear friends who don’t believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior here-

If it happens that the Lord Jesus returns to the earth in our time, riding on the clouds with glory- if you call on the name of Jesus as your Lord with repentance and faith, you may be saved.

Joel 2:31-32
“The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.
And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the LORD
Shall be saved.”

While you keep this in mind, you might as well call now and check for yourself so that not another day goes waste without mankind’s Best Friend.

Because that Day will come without warning (no one knows the day), it may even come when we’re sleeping, so we don’t know if we even have a second to change at the last moment.

Besides, Jesus will come to collect those who already know Him as friends, who’ve already been living life with Him.

But I read this passage and just thought I’d share this hope with you too incase it’s the last life jacket left on the boat that turns out most useful.

Since I’ve always witnessed to you about Jesus but it seems to fall on deaf ears most of the time, I pray you atleast receive the heads-up for the future because it is a most certain event.

But if this does not happen in our time, know for sure that if you call on the name of Jesus as your Lord with repentance and faith today, you will be saved.
(Saved- Eternal Salvation, freedom from sins and the curse of death, peace with God, eternal life)

Time. It brings the promise to pass, but it’s also a fiery test of faith.

Maybe my worst test yet.

In 2010 I received an intense music prophecy, matching my situation at the time, and also telling of an amazing future.

I held into that through the most unbelievable tests of faith - no skill, no money, no label, no producers, nothing.

My family encouraged and helped me, my dad being a sound engineer made so much more possible than I could’ve imagined.

Yet the mountains seemed endless. For the love of God and music, I carried on.

Time.

It has really tested my faith till I wanted nothing to do with my guitar or music or singing.

The fire burned, and left nothing behind.

Just a small mustard seed of faith.

That’s all He needs.

God does the rest.

I am so grateful for the family, friends, church, and beautiful community I have here! Y’all make it easier ❤️

It’s already happening! I just can’t see it yet (the way God showed).

I’m still looking at this everyday to remind myself to become like Jesus.

What a privilege the Father God has given us to be born again as His sons and daughters, even sharing birthright with Jesus!

This is true freedom, that we love one another and our country like Jesus does.

Some behind the scenes too! It’s such a miracle God helped me draw this years after picking up a pencil.

For me, Christian music is not about clean music. It’s about Jesus Christ.

Lemme explain: Today I look at a Christian playlist and it’s not a guarantee that even half the songs are anything to do with Christ.

When did ‘Christian’ become more of a cultural context than the person of Jesus?

‘Christian’ today seems to mean clean (no bad words). It’s giving Bible cover on another book. It’s giving clean-shaven on a guilty heart. It’s giving double-minded on the fence, swayed every turn by the wind.

As an ardent and strictly Christian music consumer it is dangerous for me to consume any so called ‘Christian’ music without carefully going through the lyrics of every single song first. What a sad reality!

Christian music in the Bible is holy, sacred, worshipful, real, authentic, emotional, joyful, and utterly and completely soaked in the presence of Jesus Christ.

Even the Psalms - happy or sad - reek ugly prayers made beautiful because of Who they are addressed to.

Ephesians 5:18-20 says, “do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation (degeneration); but be
filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God.”

We are commanded to make songs in our heart TO THE LORD!

I praise God for making this very clear to me early on, helping me define what it means to sing for Him - either To Him, or From Him.

The Lord called me to this 13 years ago, and by His grace I have stuck to making music this way, and that’s what you see on this channel. That’s Whom most of you love and are here for - it’s Jesus.

Think about it! If you could be here because of Jesus, why not others may come to you because of Jesus? After all, there is no other name given to us under heaven by which we may be saved.

To my fellow Christian singers and musicians whom God is calling to make music for Him - Remember the ‘Christ’ in Christian.

What a miracle to see a group hungering for Jesus, ready for whatever God would say!

In this freedom I was invited to share and sing the Lord’s words, and give words He did!

What followed in a series of events was a powerful move of God among all of us, including myself- speaking directly to our needs, transforming our lives.

From the journeys to the main events till the after event talks, the Lord made His presence felt, and we were grateful.
