I've come to the realization that I cannot write horror. I get far too attached to characters to kill them all/almost all of them off.

This is how I used to think, anyway. Things can be scary without people dying. I think some writers need to understand this.

Specifically the 'horror' where all that happens is everyone dies. Like, don't get me wrong, everyone CAN die.

But if there's nothing going on but death scenes upon death scenes, it gets boring really quickly.
