Labeled number 6, The Lovers has a theme of temptation. There are so many layers to this card. I censored this (sorry.. just to be safe) because YouTube gives warnings on taking down the channel for these cards. The Lovers is a place of choice. Do we commit to ourselves? Are we truly committed to our consciousness? This could go in so many directions. What is good for you now vs. what will be good for you in the future. It alludes to instant gratification. We could also view this being the alchemical marriage and the union of opposites. Bridging the heart with mind. Bridging the form with force. The higher self is something I think of when I see this card and Raphael’s image peeking through. It gives me the feeling of the Holy Guardian Angel. When we place this card on the Qabalistic Tree of Life, the path runs from Binah to Tiphareth, which is the path of Gemini. The sphere association is Tiphareth, and would relate this card to the Sun. Using Qabalah in Magick is pretty easy. We can work this Tree of Life into our daily practices pretty simply because it is a tool that sets us up with a lot of associations + correspondences. Each sphere has an Archangel, astrological association, image, function, and divine name. You can do this by vibrating the divine names associated with the spheres, working with the Archangels of the spheres, using the colors, and magical images. 4 - The Emperor. The path runs between Chockmah and Tiphareth (some traditions change the path to that of The Star.) This would represent the energy that comes from the archetypal world into the creative world. The great father of creation acting through Aries into Tiphareth. The Emperor represents stability, a father figure, and could be related in some ways to the warrior. He is acting his rule upon the kingdom. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and initiates Spring. It stimulates the return of the Sun - Son of God, Christ or Tiphareth. This is also associated with Chesed on the Tree of Life, whose Magickal image is that of a throned king. One of my favorite messages of this card is to be mindful of the kingdom you are ruling and the order that is given. It is also associated with sight! We can think of this related to The Magician, as well. The Emperor is ruling over the control of the sight of the Magician.

The golden rule is to treat others the way you would want to be treated. We have heard this since kindergarten, but I had a full circle moment when I started to get into Qabalah that reminded me of this. I realized something after understanding the principle of oneness and that was that other people literally are me. We are one and we are divinity. We all need boundaries, and of course there are people who have some big issues. The point of this is to be able to look at others while walking down the street and see the spark of light within them. The beauty, the self, the divine. I think there is magick in that. The more we can see it, the more it is reflected back to us.
