Good evening friends.

I realize I wasn’t really specific in my video as to why I made the decision to step away as a YouTube Influencer as I was more focused on expressing my gratitude and love for all your support over the years so in an effort to provide some insight and answer your questions and concerns I thought I’d share this...

To begin, please know that nothing terrible or tragic has happened in my life that forced me to make this decision. I always said from day one, if the time ever came that I no longer had the fire, passion and joy to continue I would no longer do so.

I’ve been contemplating this for about a year now and it really became more and more intense over the holiday season. I found myself not truly enjoying my home because I would dedicate time to sharing it, verses just enjoying it. I truly enjoyed rushing to the camera to share everything with all of you but I began to realize I was more concerned about sharing with all of you then I was with enjoying it myself.

Additionally, a lot of time, energy and effort goes into putting together videos (I’ve shared this in the past). I found myself putting things on hold to do videos, and over time just like many things I just lost the desire.

Many of you know I had emergency gallbladder surgery the week before Thanksgiving and I had a rough recovery, therefore I was away for a short time and would pop off and on when I felt up to it. After recovering I truly thought, I’m so excited to get back to creating again. Well, I quickly found I wasn’t. Even a small break didn’t revive my passion.

I’ve tried since then thinking, I’ll grow to love it again, the spark will be ignited and I’ll be better than ever. That wasn’t the reality. The reality is I simply have lost interest.

This brings me to current. With the pandemic going on I’ve really taken time to put into perspective what’s truly important in my life and creating YouTube Videos just wasn’t at the top of that list any longer. I tried and found myself feeling this emptiness. That’s when I realized yesterday, it’s time to say goodbye and get back to what my life was like before YouTube. for me it’s really about closing a chapter to start a new one.

As I said in my video I appreciate all of you and I can’t express how much this journey has meant to me.

I hope this answers some of your questions and concerns.

I wanted to find some gold, floating pictures frames in various sizes for our mantel. I found some from Anthropologie but I didn’t want to pay the price. So my search took me to Amazon where I found some frames that are very similar in style and color.
