I've been sewing up a bit of a storm recently making Xmas gifts using up fabric from my stash to make some more room - it's a never-ending quest, but I changed my strategy and REALLY made a dent this time! bulky fabric be GONE!

🌼 AUSTRALIAN COUNTRY TOWN GEM 🌼

If you’re ever looking for a charming day trip from Perth, I *highly* recommend a visit to the historic town of York — and while you’re there, make sure you pop into ‘Mrs Sticky Beaks’, a delightful bric-a-brac shop full of vintage treasures and antique finds. Here’s a few pics of what I got from her shop 🥰

This gorgeous little shop is run by the lovely Pauline, who was an absolute joy to chat with. She kindly shared stories behind some of the pieces in her collection — you can really tell how much love and care goes into curating her store.

Pauline doesn’t promote her shop online, so I promised I’d help spread the word. If you love a good rummage through unique vintage bits and pieces (and want to support a local small business), be sure to stop by **Mrs Sticky Beaks** next time you're in York!

My most recent quilt and my current work in progress 🩷🧵🪡

I recently completed the EASIEST quilt ever, which I will share in a video soon (when I get around to the video editing!). This quilt has big simple blocks and features gorgeous large and small floral fabrics which I’ve had in my stash for YEARS! 🌸🌺🌹
It was so FAST (but took me longer than planned due to a bout of the flu that ran rampant through our household) and SATISFYING! Stay tuned!

I’ve now started my next quilt project which is completely different - scrappy log cabin blocks using a light and brown colourway with velvet centres! It’s going to be unique and so fun and I can’t wait to share it with you all!

Well I certainly have!

It's taken me a while to get this video edited and uploaded... purely because i was avoiding having to re-live the experience of this quilt via the editing process! It was such a challenge, with so many wrong turns - initially thinking that following a pattern would be EASY peasy.... i was so wrong! but I made a quilt in the end - let me know what you think, did it turn out ok?
