In 1938, a medieval castle opened here —
built from five French monasteries
transported stone by stone from Europe.

On a Sunday afternoon in June 2026 —

The Hudson River gleamed below.
The arches held their silence.

Penn Station & Moynihan Train Hall.

A rainy afternoon in Midtown.
600,000 people passing through.
Everyone going somewhere.
Not one of them stopped.

The original Penn Station opened in 1910.
They tore it down in 1963.
In 2021, they built the sky back in.

Some cities remember what they lost.
