I'm Jacob Serns. I created this channel to bless people and inspire them to live their best lives. Jesus loves you and He's coming soon! Live for Him and share His love with others!
This quote has spoken to me in the past. And hits home right now.
"God has a purpose in sending trial to His children. He never leads them otherwise than they would choose to be led if they could see the end from the beginning, and discern the glory of the purpose that they are fulfilling." Prophet and Kings, p. 578.
Isn't that crazy to think about?
God doesn't want us to suffer, but "All things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose." Even the trials, even the attacks of the enemy, even the most severe heartbreak, even the deepest pain; ALL THINGS.
We are being transformed from glory to glory! God will use whatever is necessary to bring us to the position of total surrender to Him! THAT IS THE ONLY POSITION THAT WILL GET ANYONE TO HEAVEN!
Any other attitude, any other agenda or motive, will lead us to destruction.
For some, He can simply use a still, small voice of invitation. For others, He must break them the way ranchers break wild mustangs! π
Pray with me: DO WHATEVER IT TAKES, LORD!! I WANT TO BE YOURS COMPLETELY! ππΌ
And when I look back, I know, I will agree with every method You lovingly chose to ensure our eternity together!!! β€οΈπ₯ππΌ
I encourage you to dig deeply into Genesis 37-47 (excluding 38). It's the story of Joseph. As you read, search for parallels to your own situation:
1. God gave Joseph a dream of future greatness, God has a dream for you to not just survive, but to THRIVE!
2. Joseph seemed circumstantially punished every time he A. Got excited about God's plan for him B. Shared with others C. Obediently followed God. He got terrible results for years while doing the right thing. You may feel discouraged by frustrating results after simply trying to do the right thing.
3. God increased his responsibilities and influence as he remained faithful through horrible, unfair challenges. God will increase your responsibilities and influence for Him as you determine to choose FAITH OVER FEELINGS! πͺπΌπ
4. The challenges strengthened and battle-hardened Joseph and left him fully prepared to oversee a project that saved thousands of people. Your perseverance through challenges leaves you equipped to help others experiencing similar challenges.
5. God's plans of greatness for Joseph involved things that not even he could have possibly imagined. 2nd in command of the world's greatest superpower? Insane! God's plans of greatness for you go way beyond anything you can possibly imagine!
Right now might be painful, but God will carry you through and set your feet on the mountaintop! (Habakkuk 3:17-19)

Heard this analogy from Peter Casillas the other day.
Diversity is being invited to the party. Inclusion is being asked to dance. Belonging is knowing all the songs.
What if our churches were not just places of diversity, that strive for inclusion? What if they were places where people genuinely belong?
