Greetings from California, hope ye are well :)

We are excited to let you know that our new single ‘Kick The Curb’ is out now, produced and co-written by Liam Mc Cay AKA @signcrushesmotorist48 among other pseudonyms, an unbelievably talented artist and producer who we deeply admire. The results of which is this woozy beautiful tune, which we released by surprise last night - our first independent release.

A lot has changed in the past few months, in December I asked our record label to let us go, we needed a fresh start. I had become very disillusioned, struggling with my identity when it came to NewDad and the music. I knew I needed to take control and make a move even if it poses a big risk in the current climate of the music industry. We want to thank the people at Atlantic Records UK that put time and effort into NewDad and say that we wouldn’t have been able to do what we have the past two years without them. This is just a move we had to make..

Since doing that I knew we made the right decision and have felt very happy, fulfilled and self assured about the music we’re making, Kick The Curb being one of many that we can’t wait to share. For now we will be independently releasing our new music and are really excited to share more with you over the coming months. It feels special, nostalgic and exactly like us. Ye are the reason we get to do this and we hope to see some of you on the road in North America this month.

Thank you again to all the people who made the last tour happen, it was truly jepic🙏 Love to all of you who came out and spent their time and money to support us. We’re so excited to finally share this album with you. It was a bit of whirlwind getting this second record done and so much time and hard work went into it, I really hope you can all hear the love in it. The love we have for home, the love we’ve lost at times for what’s meant to be a creative job in a data driven world… but overall our love of music perseveres and your appreciation and support gets us through it all. Thank you for sticking by us and we really hope you love this music and it speaks to you. If you’re leaving or have left home, if you have trouble standing up for yourself, if you’ve found it hard to find your place in this world you can meet us at the Altar and we’ll be there.
