I’m a solo female traveler and digital nomad, choosing a life that nurtures rather than depletes, from van life adventures in Mother Maybelle to local discoveries in the Appalachian foothills. Solo female travel, slow living, and finding beauty wherever the road takes me, even when the road is just a gravel path a few miles from home.
My channel documents my journeys with my self-built 2005 Ford E250 camper van, Mother Maybelle, and June, my Jack Russell Terrier rescue! We explore intentional living and minimalism in two main ways:
1. ADVENTURE: Documenting our travels—from van life to local adventures at home—proving that an extraordinary life is possible wherever you are.
2. HEALING & GROWTH: Sharing honest talks on mental health, personal growth, and alternative paths to healing that serve your inner life.
Subscribe now to join our shared path, trade depletion for joy, and start building your own nurtured life!

Join me for look at the complex history of the Athens Lunatic Asylum. I went knowing only half the story. The dark history here is being reclaimed and there's beauty for those who look. Come explore with me!

This week I soaked up one of my favorite spots, the Ohio River! It was calming, restoring, beautiful...and exciting! I checked off one of my summer bucket-list goals - seeing a big barge go through one of the huge Ohio River locks. Yay!
What's the one spot you always return to when you're looking for calm, beauty, and peace? Let me know in the comments below.

🚐 Yikes, it's been 7 months away, but I'm back.
This summer looks different than I planned. Health stuff. Tight budget. Leaving my job. All of it adds up to one thing: I can't travel far. BUT I'M NOT STAYING PUT.
I'm going deeper into where I already am.
I found a 200-year-old old-growth forest 1 hour from home. A cliff overhang called Rock House. Trees so tall you forget what century it is. A place called Riddle Nature Preserve — and it turns out, the whole story of how it was saved is as beautiful as the forest itself.
Here's the thing about slow travel: sometimes the best trip isn't the one you planned. It's the one that finds you when you stop chasing.

UPDATE: It’s not all farm days and mini goats right now! 😅
Mother Maybelle is still in the shop waiting on a full diagnosis. We're dealing with multiple issues: she won't start at all, she needs brakes before any long trips, and the A/C is out (🤞 it doesn't affect the heating!). It’s a frustrating test in patience and an exercise in Intentional Living—choosing peace over worry.
For those asking about my co-pilot, June is doing great! She hasn't been in the videos lately, but she’s been thriving at home with all the extra people to give her hugs and belly rubs. She's a perfect reminder that sometimes a change in plans, while tough, can still lead to a life that nurtures. (She's also clearly ready for Halloween!)
Wish Mother Maybelle luck! What's your biggest life lesson in waiting?
