🎨 Art Poll Time! 👉 What kinds of foundational practice exercises did you work on before jumping into full paintings?
Before diving into full paintings, many artists take time to get to know their medium and build control through foundational exercises.
These basics might feel simple, but they’re the building blocks that make complex artwork so much easier (and more enjoyable!) later on.
Not to mention, even more skilled artists know the importance of coming back to the basics from time to time.
💬 Comment below if one of these made the biggest difference for you, or if there's anything else you made time to practice. Your experience could help someone else on their journey!

💡 It's Art Poll Time! What Ignites Your Artistic Curiosity?
One of the fastest ways to grow as an artist is to step outside your comfort zone, whether that means picking up a new tool, tackling a tricky subject, or experimenting with a technique you’ve never tried before.
But what usually sparks that leap for you? Is it seeing a breathtaking piece by another artist, that restless feeling when you’ve been doing the same thing for too long, or maybe a challenge or class that gives you a clear starting point?
