We failed to deliver a good webinar experience to the sellers.

Due to tech glitches on Amazon Seller University, the webinar on Prime Day planning didn't do well. I kept speaking for 1 hour, but realised later that there was a sound issue on the platform.

But I sat again and recorded it again for you.

So, a few days are left for Amazon Prime Day 2026, the biggest sale event by Amazon in India and across the world.
This is the 10th anniversary of the Amazon Prime Day sale this year, so it's going to be even bigger.

This year, Amazon Prime Day is scheduled on 4th, 5th and 6th July 2026.

Here is the strategic approach for Amazon Prime Day 2026:

*Prime Day is a customer acquisition event rather than just a discount event.

Successful participation generates sales, reviews, and higher rankings, creating organic visibility that acts as a launchpad for the next four months.

Focus on Hero Products:
Concentrate efforts on the top 10–20% of ASINs, which typically drive 80% of sales.
These should have strong ratings, healthy inventory levels, and proven conversion histories.

Promotion Strategy:
Utilise various promotional tactics beyond standard deals, such as coupons for non-deal items or bundling complementary products.

Listing Optimisation:
Audit top ASINs to remove conversion blockers, focusing on product titles, images, videos, A+ content, and the mobile experience. AI tools like Zikhara AI and Amazon’s built-in generative AI can be used to scale and enhance content compliance.

Advertising Strategy:
Avoid blind spending or under-investing. Key decisions involve protecting branded keywords, winning category traffic, and allocating budgets effectively across Hero ASINs.


Long-Term Momentum:

Prime Day marks the start of a high-sales season that includes upcoming events like Raksha Bandhan, Independence Day, Onam, and Diwali.
Sellers should view Prime Day as an opportunity to build momentum for the next 90 days through catalogue expansion, FBA adoption, and brand building.

Tools like the Product Opportunity Explorer and the Sale Event Planner are available to assist with ongoing growth and event management.
