Volkswagen has revealed the new Tera, a small SUV for the Brazilian market. It may also preview a future VW version of the Skoda Kylaq for India. The Tera follows Volkswagen's latest design style, similar to the new Tiguan.
Built on the MQB A0 platform, the Tera will come with a 1.0-liter TSI turbo-petrol engine and an automatic gearbox option. A flex-fuel version is also expected. The SUV will feature ADAS functions, with a camera module placed at the top of the windshield.

Volkswagen India will launch the Golf GTI and Tiguan R-Line in the second quarter of 2025. These models will be brought to India as completely built units (CBUs).
The Golf GTI is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine, producing 241hp and 370Nm of torque. While global models offer both a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG automatic, the transmission options for India are yet to be confirmed. Currently, Volkswagen sells the Virtus, Taigun, and Tiguan in India.
