Reimagining India's Anganwadis!
Empowering via Nutrition | Education | Health | Women Empowerment
Nand Ghar, Vedanta’s flagship social initiative under the Anil Agarwal Foundation, is strengthening the Anganwadi ecosystem in India. Anganwadi Centers (AWCs) are rural childcare centers set up by the government to provide essential services like preschool education, maternal care, and nutrition.
With support from the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MoWCD), over 8400 Nand Ghars have been established in 15 states, impacting more than 3.2 lakh children and 2.4 lakh women.
These centers focus on:
- Nutrition among children
- Early childhood education
- Access to healthcare
- Women empowerment through skill development

Tackling Malnutrition, Empowering Futures: The Nand Ghar Way
Did you know?
Malnutrition remains one of India’s most urgent challenges, silently impacting millions of children in their formative years.
At Nand Ghar, we’re building a healthier India by transforming anganwadis into modern hubs of nutrition, care, and learning. In close collaboration with ICDS, Nand Ghar is facilitating daily hot-cooked nutritious meals, millet-based nutri-bars and protein shakes, regular growth monitoring and health tracking along with community awareness and mother-child care support.
This is more than a meal—it’s holistic nourishment for India’s future.
