To find out, we're going beyond the boundaries of the camera by recreating shots of Boba Fett's Palace from The Book of Boba Fett in Minecraft and pulling the camera out to see where each tower really sits.

I documented every shot of Boba Fett's Palace in The Book of Boba Fett and compared them to the establishing shots of Jabba's Palace from Return of the Jedi (same place, different owners), and discovered at least four different tower configurations used in The Book of Boba Fett. Why do they exist? Why didn't the filmmakers just use one canon layout? We speculate. And rant, a bit. Just a wee bit.

Unfortunately I won’t be able to get an Obi-Wan Minecraft build done for you this year.

It turns out that having two kids under four while having a depressed immune system from masking for two years, as well as still trying to figure out how to create massive Minecraft builds as a one man band is enough to create gridlock for me as a YouTube creator.

If you have kids you know the first part is a given. Kids take a lot of energy! I thought I had priced this in.

What I didn’t price in are our family’s depressed immune systems. We have been sick with colds every two to three weeks since February, about the time the mask mandates lifted or enough people got tired of them. We, along with everyone else in our area it seems, are catching up after two years of ridiculously good health.

The third is something I’m continuing to tweak, which is my production workflow. I think it’s still possible to get videos and Minecraft builds out in a more timely manner, but it’s going to take several cycles to figure it all out.

All that to say, I am really bummed I can’t get an Obi-Wan themed video out for you! I’m hopeful I can revisit my idea for Obi-Wan in the future.

But the good news is I am going back to one of my first experiments that I made last year and have yet to release a video for.

And that’s Stranger Things. Given all that’s going on I can’t promise a timed release with the Season 4, but that is certainly the goal. The build is finished. All that’s left to do is export ReplayMod footage and create the video.

And after that, who knows? I’m not stopping right now. It’s just taking longer than I thought to get content out there at the moment.

So, onward we go!

UPDATE: Poll results are in and it looks like I might be making an Obi-Wan Kenobi video! Here's hoping I can finish it on time!

So I am curious if anyone wants to see my Jabba's Palace video about how the towers of Jabba's Palace move around from shot to shot? I made plans for that before I know how big the first video would be. This new video will be about me using Minecraft to build the towers in the places they moved them to for each shot (like the one in this post) and showing you what those tower configurations look like from other angles. It will be kind of like how Shesez' Boundary Break videos are structured.

How'd you all like the finale of The Book of Boba Fett? The episode where Mando gets his Naboo starfighter was one of my favorites because it opens up a whole world of possibilities for his character. A quick timelapse for Mando's new Naboo Starfighter is coming, hopefully Wednesday! Right in time for the series finale.

I know I said my next video would be about the mysterious moving towers of Jabba's Palace, but I couldn't resist when I saw Episode 5. So this video's coming first!

And of course, instead of just building the ship, I had to make an appropriate setting, too. ;) Just did the interior, though. Peli's hangar is more of a set or diarama than a complete building.
