Their stories reflect the camp theme “One Heart” as each of us desire “to know and be known” across the generations who worship and have worshipped with us on the hill. Through them, we want to encourage each of us to come forth, share our unique stories and bless one another in this community.

Good evening from Batam, dear friends and family! For Church Camp 2025, the camp committee has been working on a video series called “Life in Barker”. It talks about, well, Life in Barker! Life in church - over the many years and many generations who worship and have worshipped within the compound of our church.

The hope is that these stories will highlight the spiritual heritage that we inherit from those who have come before us, and that amongst ourselves, we will continue to share more stories about the unique lives we live in Barker!

For our first video today, Dr Tan Gee Paw speaks to us about the genesis of our church, and a trial that we faced together in our early days. What moved us was the triumph of fundamentalism and the Word through the power of prayer and intercession! What spoke out to you?
