سورة البقرة - 213
کَانَ النَّاسُ اُمَّۃً وَّاحِدَۃً ۟ فَبَعَثَ اللّٰہُ النَّبِیّٖنَ مُبَشِّرِیۡنَ وَ مُنۡذِرِیۡنَ ۪ وَ اَنۡزَلَ مَعَہُمُ الۡکِتٰبَ بِالۡحَقِّ لِیَحۡکُمَ بَیۡنَ النَّاسِ فِیۡمَا اخۡتَلَفُوۡا فِیۡہِ ؕ وَ مَا اخۡتَلَفَ فِیۡہِ اِلَّا الَّذِیۡنَ اُوۡتُوۡہُ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَتۡہُمُ الۡبَیِّنٰتُ بَغۡیًۢا بَیۡنَہُمۡ ۚ فَہَدَی اللّٰہُ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لِمَا اخۡتَلَفُوۡا فِیۡہِ مِنَ الۡحَقِّ بِاِذۡنِہٖ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ یَہۡدِیۡ مَنۡ یَّشَآءُ اِلٰی صِرَاطٍ مُّسۡتَقِیۡمٍ ﴿۲۱۳﴾
(ابتدا میں) تمام لوگ ایک (ہی دین پر متفق) اُمّت تھے پھر( جب اُنہوں نے اختلاف کیا) تو اللہ نے انبیاء(علیہم السلام )بھیجے خوشخبری دینے والے اور ڈر سنانے والے بنا کر اور اُن کے سا تھ برحق کتاب نازل فرمائی تا کہ وہ لوگوں کے درمیان (اُن باتوں کا )فیصلہ فرمادے جن میں اُنہوں نے اختلاف کیا تھا اور اس میں ان ہی لوگوں نے اختلاف کیا جنہیں وہ (کتاب) دی گئی تھی اِس کے بعد کہ اُن کے پاس واضح دلائل آچکے تھے (صرف) آپس کی ضد کی وجہ سے (اختلاف کیا) تو اللہ نے ایمان لانے والوں کو اپنی توفیق سےحق کے ذریعہ ہدایت عطا فرمائی اُس بات میں جس میں ان لوگوں نے اختلاف کیا تھا اور اللہ جس کو چاہتا ہے سیدھے راستے کی طرف ہدایت عطا فرماتا ہے۔
