Hello friends, yesterday my world changed forever when I lost my dearest friend of over 30 years unexpectedly. She was only 50 years old and leaves behind a husband who has loved her since 9th grade, 2 adult children and a 6 month old grandbaby. I can’t wrap my mind around this. Please pray, not just for me but for her family. I know you don’t know her but if you feel inclined to help out their family we’ve organized a fundraiser to help with final expenses. No pressure, none at all but I feel led to share in case there’s someone out there who would be willing to help.

We have been completely taken off our footing by this and would appreciate prayers so much.

Miss Molly has been dropped off at the vet this morning for surgery. So many of you ask about her often, so I wanted to let you know. Praying for a successful procedure so she can begin healing and moving toward her best health. I'll update you when I know more. ❤️

Never until my mid 40s did I pay attention to the lyrics of some of our most traditional Christmas songs. Last night, before bed I had this song come to mind and since then I can't get this part out of my head. It's running on repeat in the background of my mind like songs often do and I took a moment to slow down and allow myself to pay attention to it. To really 'hear' the words as they make their way through my thoughts. You know what, it turns out I really needed to truly listen to them because although I've been dealing with a lot over the past 5 weeks, I really feel my Lord and Savior working in my life. I don't know why but I feel called to post this publicly and not only remember how beautiful and meaningful these 'old fashioned' Christmas songs are, but publicly state how much peace and joy they give me. Gifts are fun, lights are pretty but the blessing of Jesus this Christmas season is the most beautiful present I've ever received ❤️

As so many of us are doing so, this is the time of year I reflect on things I'm thankful for. God has given me so many blessings in my life that there's not enough room on YouTube for me to include them all but something I've never mentioned is this. Leslie, over at the ‪@TheCozyYellowCottage‬ was my very first YouTube friend ever! She was the first person to reach out to me when my channel had only about 30 subscribers and offered words of encouragement and friendship. She probably doesn't know this, but during that time I had been struggling so much trying to figure out how to be on YT and I was nearly ready to throw in the towel. Her message encouraged me so much and made me feel less alone and isolated in this huge content creator space. I'm forever grateful to my first, and very close YouTube Friend Leslie who reminded me that in this great big internet...there's some super kind people on the other side of the screen! Thank you Leslie, I'm grateful for your friendship ❤️
