Hidden in the Heartland

Who came to America before Columbus?

That is the question covered in Hidden in the Heartland. The first season was featured on KJAZZ-TV in Salt Lake City. Now this channel includes the original 10 episodes plus bonus material including extended interviews and a podcast. Stay tuned for continued episodes.

Produced by Kels and Stephanie Goodman of Tier 2 Media.

Hidden in the Heartland

Stephanie and I have been on the road for 2 weeks now with one more to go (and then some). We have been interviewing all kinds of interesting people and seeing fascinating sites that definitely give the impression that there was definitely a significant presence all along these eastern states in the United States.

Our goal is to get back to Utah to start the editing process. Hopefully we will have new episodes the first of September. Look for the new stuff in Hidden in the Heartland 2026AD

Hidden in the Heartland

While we are now off to film new episodes of Hidden in the Heartland, I went ahead and posted an extended interview from 2014 of Alan Harn. It is fairly eye-opening to hear his story of the controversy of displaying the 200+ burials on Dickson Mounds open for the public to see, and then the protests that demanded it covered up.

He also gives his feelings of being an archaeologist and his amazements in the stories behind each find. he says there are 170,000 sites or pieces found all throughout Illinois, and most are found simply in places where highways and construction discovered them.

He also gives a timeline of the Hopewell and discusses the art found from the time of Christ. Enjoy the interview.

Hidden in the Heartland

Excited to announce a new season of episodes starting this fall! We will be traveling in a few weeks to see a bunch of new sites we have not covered and airing our findings on this YouTube channel.

Until then, we will be posting some older research videos we have obtained to help continue to search of who lived in America before Columbus. As well as a few travel videos of our production over the summer.

Excited for September!
