Hi everyone! I’ve been working on this video for a while and I’m excited to finally get to share it with you. We’ve learned a lot during the two years we’ve spent travelling the world and after months of writing scripts and revising scripts, I’ve finally sat down and filmed a complete overview of our trip and some thoughts of things we’ve learned along the way. I want to make more videos like this and I have lots more I want to share with you about the adventures we got up to and different thoughts and perspectives we’ve learned along the way. I just posted the last of our Europe videos, and now I have a big update! We're back in Indonesia! We arrived in Bali a few days ago. Unfortunately we've gotten quite sick so we haven't been doing much filming but we're excited to explore Indonesia again and share it all with you :)

We're so overwhelmed with all of the love our channel has gotten recently :) I just uploaded our Surabaya vlog, and on Tuesday you'll get to see our AMAZING three day tour of Tumpak Sewu, Mt. Bromo, and Ijen! After that we're heading to explore some islands...

I may have lost all credibility by now when I promise a posting schedule, especially as it's been months since I've sent out a "weekly" newsletter and days since I've posted after promising to upload daily, but I have an excuse this time! A few days ago our SSD crashed, which contains all of our raw footage and I use that storage to work off of when editing. After days of trouble shooting and blind attempts to hope any electronics we have with us could possibly read it, it's officially unrecoverable. Our plan is to take it to a store in a last ditch attempt here in Kuala Lumpur, but it's not looking good. 

Luckily, while we were in Bangkok just a few weeks ago, Carson thought it would be a good idea to pick up a hard drive for $80 as a second backup "just in case." I gave him a hard time about it and called him paranoid, but lo and behold, had he not stood his ground, and had he not be diligent about making sure the hard drive always has a copy of everything on the SSD and our SD card, we would have lost all of our footage from Chiang Mai/Rai, Laos, and Krabi.

I put up the Sapa vlog today and I hope you all enjoy it! Working off the hard drive will be slower than working off the SSD, but not impossible. Until we figure out what to do with our very expensive, unusable device, the hard drive will have to do for now. The moral of the story is, in Carson's wise words, "backups are the same as insurance - it's always a waste of money, and you want it to be. Because if a time comes when it's not, you'll be glad that you paid it." Back up what's important to you.

Hello from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! If you've noticed we've been posting a lot more than usual, that's because we're currently enjoy a big break in KL and I've been getting around to editing all of the footage from our two months in Vietnam. I just uploaded our Hanoi vlog, so make sure you check that out! Coming up we have our Ha Long Bay cruise and Ha Giang Loop tour - two of our absolute FAVOURITE activities from our whole trip and I'm super excited to share those with you. We'll be posting every day (or second day) until Christmas if all goes according to plan.

I hope you've been enjoying all of the content and there's still much, much more to come. We're getting very close to hitting 1000 subscribers, at which point we'll start making a little bit of money from the videos that we put so much time and effort into. We really appreciate all of the support :)

While we're in KL we're going to revamp all of our social channels (the YouTube, blog, newsletter, and Patreon) and set off towards Australia with a whole new batch of travel adventures to share with you.

Hi everyone! It's my first time posting on the Community Tab but I wanted to give you all a little update. Carson and I are, in fact, still travelling in Asia despite the little hiatus I took from posting. We've got some time while we're waiting in Hoi An, Vietnam for the Lantern Festival so I'm hopeful to get caught up!

I just uploaded the Phuket and Siem Reap/Angkor Wat vlogs so I hope you're enjoying those. After that, we spent a LONG time in Phnom Penh while we waited for our visas for Vietnam to be approved so that vlog will be coming your way next.

While I'm writing this I'm realizing that I actually really like the blog format of posting on here, so maybe I'll make it a regular occurrence if I can get you guys/the vlogs caught up with our real time travelling so I can give you some updates as we go.
