“Hold it!” Marinus shouted to the others. The three stallions came to a halt and looked back at him “Why’d you stop?” Treble asked. Marinus looked back at Amora, who was trying to catch up to the others “It’s okay! I’ll catch up!” Amora said with a smile. Marinus turned to the three with an unpleased look “Wait on the mare. Haven’t your parents taught you any manners?” Ghost, despite having esteemed parents, let out a small chuckle. Amora came to a halt once she caught up with everyone “I’m sorry I took so long!” She apologized. Silas, who saw Amora as his sister, playfully nudged her “C’mon slow poke! Let’s go!” Silas and Treble picked up a canter, with Amora following the best she could. Marinus sighed and shook his head as he watched the two stallions play like colts “You really need to learn how to have fun every once in a while. It won’t hurt you, trust me.” Ghost stated before cantering after the others. Marinus scoffed and decided just to trot, he wasn’t in the mood for any of Ghost’s remarks. Treble was trying to pull Silas to the ground, but Ghost tackled him and pinned him “Hey, no fair!” Treble protested. Ghost laughed and let him up “As skilled of fighters as Akria and Brass are, you would think you wouldn’t go down that easily.” Marinus said to Treble while walking up to the horses. Ghost opened his mouth to speak, but Silas spoke first “And as nice as Faye and Logan are, you would think you wouldn’t be so grumpy all the time.” Ghost and Treble started laughing while Amora stayed silent, she didn’t wanna cause any trouble between the horses. Marinus pinned his ears back and walked closer “You all have well-respected fathers you can get an example from, but instead you choose to rebel and become immature.” Treble had enough and walked up to him “For your information, we’re not immature. It’s called having fun and not being so up-tight, maybe you should try it sometime.” Amora quickly stood between the two “Stop it, both of you- all of you! You wanna know who’s being immature here? Every one of you!” She paused and felt her body heat up in embarrassment after she realized what she had said, the stallions looked at her with slightly surprised expressions, since she was always thought of as the ‘quiet, sweet one’ “Um… sorry.” She chuckled nervously. Everyone stayed silent for a moment, until Silas spoke “Let’s just go home-“ Marinus cut him off “No. If we’re going to be friends, we have to learn to get along, and that goes for myself too. So you all can race back home, I don’t care.” He said with a small smile, Ghost quickly smiled “He’s loosening up!” The three stallions took off galloping, while Amora stayed behind with Marinus and just walked.

Years later, me and Karina had a conversation about shipping Faye and Logan again. Despite Karina not being active in the SSOTC community anymore, she allowed me to ship them anyways!
