I have written the script for Low-Poly Knights - Episode 5!

My cough from having Covid about a month ago is almost gone. With feeling better, I will be ramping back up with my job hunt for local places, which, whenever I get one, will probably slow down animation and video production, but I have bills to pay, so it is what it is.

That being said, I have finished the first draft of the script for Low-Poly Knights, Episode 5! So with just a tiny bit of additional prep work, like props and a super-simple environment, I can finally start working on the episode in earnest. Once I started writing this script, things kind of naturally fleshed themselves out, and what I thought would be a shorter episode may very well be a normal-length one. We shall see how it turns out once the animation takes shape with all of the necessary comedic pauses and whatnot. But the main overarching story will, hopefully, begin in Episode 6. It just feels like it's been too long since I've put out a video, and I want to work on something sooner rather than later.

Also, please enjoy this screenshot of the ancient ruins environment test render, which probably looks like the one from months ago, although this one is in the new render engine. So it should be all ready to go.

I am overall doing much better today. Still a little bit of a cough. And I didn't want my whole day to go to waste so I booted up Maya. I had an idea written down, and I think I will make that the next short episode, before I TRY (famous last words) to get settled on some story beats for this show.

Also, I am currently modifying the rogue outfit into a mage/fine robes outfit for future characters. Of note, I wish to make a parody character of a catfolk known for not being entirely honest about the fantasy world they live in.

Okay, this feels like 2 days in a row of doing much better in regards to the cough and the congestion. I am hoping this finishes up so I can get back to the job hunt, full-scale Low-Poly Knights prepwork, and probably even make a short video in the meantime. Fingers crossed! 🤞

The cough and sinus gunk remain 3 weeks later, and the doctor did not seem too alarmed, so it would seem this par the course for covid recovery. And while I haven't gotten much done for the next Low-Poly Knights main episode, I have been working on and off with a small team for something else Low-Poly Knights related. 😎

Once I'm feeling better, I need to resume the job search for local places around me, which will obviously eat into animation time. And given how long I've been sick, I am trying to think of some shorter videos to make in the meantime. But nothing is immediately coming to mind.

I will keep you all posted. o7

I'm still coughing, but I think I'm feeling well enough to try and get some more prep-work done on the next big episode. Though time will tell if I end up doing another small jokey episode first, because it will take less time.
I'm also starting a side project with the help of some other folks that I may share more on later. We'll see how things go. :)

Still sick, but it's just down to a persistent cough and morning congestion. The cough thankfully stops on its own when I lie down to sleep or take a nap, and a steady diet of tea and menthol cough drops has stopped the "razor throat" severe sore throat in its tracks.
I don't know how much longer this will last, but I am hoping to get back to animating soon.

I am feeling much better. Easily the worst is the "Razor Throat" severe sore throat from this strain of Covid, where once bad enough, it's physically painful to swallow food, water, or go through the muscle movement of trying to clear your sinuses.
Also, I tried chamomile tea for the first time. I added some milk and honey, and it's just wonderful. :>

The family has Covid, and I am definitely sick, but somehow I'm testing negative for Covid despite my throat being a gunk factory. Gonna stop the personal projects for a few days to try and rest and take it easy. The struggle to get any sleep is real. :(
