Squatchin Adventures 50+ Years Around the Sun

I wanted to share a special birthday gift with you all.
My daughter gifted me The United States of Cryptids and it felt especially meaningful. 💚
While our focus will always be Bigfoot, this book reminded me of something bigger than just one legend.
This book reminded me how many stories live quietly in the woods across America.
And it’s interesting how many cryptids are tied to forests and remote places — just like Sasquatch.
Different regions. Different stories.
But the same sense of mystery, curiosity, and respect for the unknown.
It felt right to share this here with our Squatchin Adventures community, because what connects us isn’t just one being — it’s the love of the woods, the stories they hold, and the time we spend listening.
Thank you to my daughter for such a thoughtful gift, and thank all of you for walking these trails with Pops & Nana.
Here’s to many more stories waiting quietly in the trees.

Many researchers and Squatchers believe that X structures in the forest may carry meaning — but what about when multiple large trees are arranged like a star or burst pattern, almost resembling an asterisk “✳”?

This kind of formation has been found in various locations by Bigfoot enthusiasts, including on some of our own adventures. Theories suggest these may be:

🌲 1. Meeting or Gathering Points — A place where Sasquatch clans converge or communicate.
🪵 2. Portal or Energy Markers — Some believe these star-like structures are tied to energetic or spiritual significance.
🪓 3. Complex Forest Markers — A more intricate version of the “X” — potentially signifying a special or sacred zone in their territory.

These formations often stand out due to the precision and scale — many trees are placed, leaned, or woven together in striking ways that seem far from random.
