Pops is out in the forest this weekend with other researchers, and I couldn’t resist sharing a little insider look with our Squatchin Adventures community while the weekend is still unfolding. 👀
He’s been out exploring the area and sent me a few glimpses along the way — including some pretty interesting tree structures they came across.
So consider this your little field postcard from Pops. 😂🌲

🌲👣 OH MY LANTA… LOOK HOW WE’VE GROWN! ❤️
We’ve been watching Squatchin Adventures — 50+ Years Around the Sun grow lately, and… what a hoot! 🥰

So many new people have found their way to our little corner of YouTube, and we wanted to stop for a minute, look around at all of you, and simply say WELCOME — and THANK YOU for being here.

We’re Pops & Nana, and this channel started out just as the name suggests — with us sharing our adventures.

Camping, fishing, forest roads, Jeep rides, lakes and creeks, getting our boots on the ground and seeing what might be waiting around the next bend. Some of those early adventures included our grandchildren too, because family, exploring and getting outside together have always been part of our story.

There were also seasons when getting out into the forest became more than just something we enjoyed. Those backroads, creek walks, campfires and days spent wandering the woods gave us somewhere to reset, reconnect and keep finding the joy in life.

So we kept going.
We kept exploring.
And we kept taking the camera along.
Then somewhere along the way, our adventures took a turn we certainly never planned on…
Bigfoot. 👣

One mysterious footprint opened up an entirely new trail of curiosity for us. Suddenly we were listening a little closer, looking a little harder and paying attention to things in the forest we might once have walked right past.

Before we knew it, Bigfooting had become part of the adventure too.

Footprints. Strange sounds. Tree structures. Rocks. Knocks. Return trips. Investigations. And plenty of moments that have left Pops & Nana standing there scratching our heads wondering, “What in the world was THAT?” 😂

But underneath all of it, Squatchin Adventures is still what it has always been:
Us getting out there and experiencing life.
Sometimes we’re boots-on-the-ground looking for Bigfoot sign.

Sometimes we’re flying the drone over a beautiful stretch of wilderness, fishing a lake, scouting a creek, exploring an old road, poking around an old mining adit, picking huckleberries, camping or simply following our curiosity to see where it takes us.

Sometimes the grandkids join the adventure.

Sometimes something strange happens.
And sometimes we simply have a really good day in the woods. 🌲❤️

Somewhere in the middle of all those miles, all those forest roads and all those adventures we were simply sharing because they mattered to us…

🫵🏻 you started showing up too.
Watching. Commenting. Sharing your own stories. Encouraging us. Laughing with us. Wondering right alongside us.
And little by little, a community began to gather.

That is pretty darn special. ❤️
So with so many new people joining us lately, we’d love to turn things around and hear from YOU!

Squatchin Adventures 50+ Years Around the Sun

I’m sitting here today feeling incredibly grateful for this little community of ours. ❤️

Over the past few recent uploads, we received two incredibly generous Super Thanks — one on our Elbow Lake Adventure and another on our Sheep Creek & Mining Adit adventure — and I wanted to take a moment to simply say thank you.

There is something pretty special about knowing that the adventures Pops and I head out on, film, and share with all of you are connecting with people on the other side of the screen.

Elbow Lake especially held a lot for me.

That was the day I stepped directly into the impression that we later cast, but it was also the day I made it all the way down the trail to the water’s edge. If you watched that video, you know that moment became about so much more than simply reaching the lake. It was emotional, personal, and a little victory I will carry with me for a very long time.

Then there are adventures like Sheep Creek, where Pops and I are simply out exploring, poking around the forest, checking out an old mining adit, and taking you along for the ride.

To know that people are watching these different pieces of our adventures and choosing to support what we are doing means more to us than I can really put into words.

But this thank-you is not only for the Super Thanks.

It is for all of you.

Which also means Nana is temporarily taking over one of Pops’ normally appointed jobs around here…

Squatchin Adventures 50+ Years Around the Sun

🚁 DRONE ADVENTURES ARE COMING TO SQUATCHIN ADVENTURES!🚁

Friends, we’ve officially added a whole new way to explore the places we visit… from ABOVE!😄

After a little Backyard Flight School, Pops was declared certifiably certified 😂 and our Drone Adventures officially began.

We already have quite the story to share—including an actual drone recovery mission that will be coming in an upcoming video. 😂 But first… we’re starting at the beginning.

Our first Drone Adventure takes us back to a location that has given us some pretty curious experiences in the past, including some very strange camera behavior. This time, we wanted to see what we couldn’t see from the ground.

Beautiful aerial views, curious locations, learning as we go, and plenty of Pops & Nana adventure along the way. 🌲🚁

We’ve also created a brand-new Drone Adventures playlist so you can follow the journey from the very first flight forward.

Squatchin Adventures 50+ Years Around the Sun

🔥 NEW VIDEO DROPS TODAY AT 3:00 PM PACIFIC! 🔥

Today we close out our Gypsy Meadows Squatch Camp series with Pops’ final day at camp—and there was still more to investigate before he headed home. 👀

Something hit—or shoved—Bill’s Bushwhacker during the night hard enough that he FELT the trailer move.

Bear? Cougar? The camper settling? All possibilities were considered.

But a thermal camera had also been running toward that area. When the crew reviewed the footage the next morning, things got VERY interesting.

Pops captured their thermal review secondhand through his GoPro, so be sure to follow the other channels involved in Gypsy Meadows for their footage and perspectives. Each investigator brought another piece of the puzzle!

Pops also makes his final rounds, checks the gifting site, collects his game cameras and says goodbye to one incredible week of Squatch Camp.

This upcoming video shares the unseen moments leading up to that unforgettable evening... including the moment we unexpectedly rushed back to camp after receiving a radio call that immediately changed our plans.

This was an incredible collaboration with Scott & Tammy from Tailing Sasquatch, and we can't wait to share this adventure with all of you.

Squatchin Adventures 50+ Years Around the Sun

👣 Hello Squatchin' Family! 🌲
If you've noticed Pops and I have been a little quieter lately, we just wanted to check in and let everyone know we're still here!

Life has simply been...life.
Between Pops working full-time, countless hours editing our Gypsy Meadows Squatch Camp Series, and everything else that comes with everyday life, we've fallen behind on watching all of your incredible adventures.

On top of that, we're in the heart of wildfire season here in Northeast Washington. The smoke has been overwhelming at times, and it's heartbreaking to see so many acres of beautiful forest being impacted. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected, and we want to extend our deepest gratitude to all of the firefighters, first responders, and volunteers working tirelessly to protect our communities, our forests, and our wildlife. We're praying for everyone's safety and hoping for some much-needed rain.

The good news...
🎉 The Gypsy Meadows Squatch Camp Series is officially finished and all of the episodes are now scheduled!

We're honestly looking forward to finally slowing down for a few evenings, pouring a fresh cup of coffee, and catching up on all of your adventures. We know we've missed a lot, and we can't wait to see what everyone's been up to!

We've also got some exciting adventures headed your way, including our epic Little Twin Lakes Night Investigation & Campout with Alaskan Bigfooters Scott & Tammy, along with several more forest adventures—including the location where Nana accidentally stepped into that large impression! 👣😄
