Most of my early video was taken with an aging Panasonic camcorder (of 2002 vintage) and I edited that stuff with Microsoft Movie-maker. Despite these limitations, the results aren't too bad (I think).
More recently I've switched to a Sony PJ760VE HD camcorder with "super steady shot" and that's made a huge difference to the quality of the videos. I'm also editing with Sony Movie Studio and that also helps.
I'm no expert videographer but if you have any questions about my videos, just ask and I'll try to answer them.

That's it... I really have to get off YouTube. I paid good money to license a music track for my latest video and YouTube's AI decided to overdub the rap lyrics with a woman's AI voice. Seriously, they have no right to create a "derived work" from that piece of copyrighted music. The AI-driven decline of YouTube has reached rock bottom.

Seriously, YT's scam-ads are now beyond a joke. The fact that the company clearly doesn't give a toss about those who are becoming victims of these scam-ads makes their "community guidelines" nothing more than a joke.
Here is the latest that just popped up a few minutes ago... yet another "energy saver" scam that has been proven countless times to be nothing but a complete fraud.
As a member of the YouTube Partner Program, do I really want a "partner" that is happy to inflict scams like this on my viewers?

YouTube is such a trainwreck... look at this:
I reported a scam ad to @teamyoutube on X. This scam is a long-standing one which claims to sell "a robotic dog that's so good it even fools veterinarians" yet all you get is a crappy little stuffed toy with zero robotics in it.
When I reported the ad, YT didn't take it down or do anything except recommend that *I* block such ads so I won't see them again.
What is it that YT says when it deletes entire channels on bogus AI-determined claims of "scams and deceptive practices"?
Oh yes... that's right, apparently they're very concerned about keeping YT a "safe place". Yeah... right... unless there's profits involved!

I can't legally fly a 20g drone around my own house because "too dangerous" and if CAA has its way I won't be able to fly the same drone *inside* my house without passing a test because "too dangerous" but these guys get to have a heap of old-fashioned fun in a public park because "not dangerous".
Perhaps we should all go back to control-line models?

Has digital FPV just become as cheap as analog? The new Ascent-lite digital FPV camera and VTX is now on pre-order at a surprisingly low US$35.99 which sounds like a godsend to those who are lamenting the loss of DJI FPV gear in the USA.
I'll be making a video over at RCModelReviews shortly in which I speculate as to what this means to the hobby and whether people should be considering buying into this new FPV system. @CADDXFPV

I try to do what I can to promote and protect the hobby, pushing back against #TheNarrative and ridiculous over-regulation. After watching this video from Stacey Abshire I had to make this community post here and on X. He has encapsulated the thoughts and opinions of *EVERY* FPV flyer in a concise and accurate video that all regulators, Karens and members of the public should see. I urge everyone (that's *YOU* ) to share this video and promote it through your own social media. The world needs to see this.

YouTube's AI has run amok and is now suggesting that creators make videos which are guaranteed to result in a strike against their channel. This comes at a time when the company is inviting thousands of its staff to take voluntary redundancy ahead of major restructuring where AI will take over their jobs. Should we (the people who make and watch YouTube videos) be worried about the direction this is headed? Anyone want a video on this?
