York pulled up to Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community in a rental Volkswagen SUV wearing a Yankees t-shirt, basketball shorts, sneakers — and his wedding ring. Officers surround the car, pull him out, and cuff him.
York: “Can I ask what you’re doing?” Officer: “You meeting anybody?” York: “No… I’m just driving.”
Police find $160 in cash (the exact amount he agreed to pay) plus two phones in the center console. When they send a test text from the undercover number, one of the phones lights up.

York used the alias “Joe,” texted an undercover officer over two days, and agreed to $160 for “full service.” He later pleaded no contest to reduced charges of disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools.
