People often ask me how I manage to write so many lyrics.

The simple answer is that nearly 20 years ago, I made a conscious decision to improve my weakest skill: writing.

I started by writing television show scripts, primarily "filler" episodes for my favorite sci-fi series, expanding on plot points I felt were underdeveloped.

From there, I moved on to original short stories, using an image or an idea in my head as a prompt.

My body of work now includes around 60 TV scripts, 8 full-length movie screenplays, 4 sci-fi novels, and hundreds of short stories, with about 10 eBooks published.

Having written somewhere between 1,500 and 1,700 pieces has conditioned meself to quickly formulate stories. Combined with using voice recognition and typing at about 80 words per minute, this allows me to generate stories, lyrics, and other content very rapidly.

There are times in life when we feel like we’ve wandered too far—into doubt, into fear, or simply away from the peace of God. We often think it is up to us to claw our way back to the light.

But the song "The Shepherd Found the Sheep" reminds us of a beautiful truth: We do not have to find the Shepherd; the Shepherd finds us.

Jesus, the Good Shepherd, doesn't wait for us to fix ourselves before He comes looking. He leaves the ninety-nine to pursue the one. He searches until He finds us, lifts us onto His shoulders, and carries us home with joy.

If you feel lost today, stop running. Stand still. The Shepherd is closer than you think.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for never giving up on me. Thank You that when I wander, You pursue me with love. I rest today in the knowledge that I am found, I am held, and I am Yours. Amen.
