Okay, so the effort of moving on from this channel may not be worth it at the moment, given I've managed to hold onto this channel for 19 years and that might just be my only buffer against Youtube's coming AI age verification system. Not saying it's a reliable strategy, knowing Youtube AI, but it's the only thing I've got to hold on to... plus moving on to another channel means having to resub to every channel I've followed over the years and that... is a long goddamn list.

Wishing everyone a happy holiday season, and announcing that I'm likely going offline until after new years. Life has been hard ever since summer, it seems like so many people are loosing their minds this past month, and seasonal depression is hitting extra hard ATM so I think disconnecting from the online world is just in my best interests. I'm still planning to wrap up a few things on this channel first, but for everything I'm working on the other channel I'm putting off further work until I can feel settled again. In the meantime I want to thank everyone who has subscribed and watched my shitty gameplay videos. I don't know how the hell you put up with me most of the time, but for now I wish you all the best and joyous of holidays! See you in 2025!

I generally try not to talk politics because it's just good etiquette, a concept that seems to be absolutely lost in online social/parasocial spaces any more... but it occurs to me that every 4 goddamn years in the USA that it is exactly this discourse which people not only fail to avoid, but actively engage and engross themselves in to the point it drives us all to absolute madness. I can't help but wonder how the hell we got to this point... but moreso I just want everyone, regardless of your political affiliation or beliefs, to remember we are all human. We are all in the same boat riding the waves across the cosmos of reality on this blue marble. Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay sane my friends. We're all in this together.

Okay, so some good news regarding my father. He'd been stuck in intensive care for the past couple of weeks, off the ventilator and spending a lot of time hallucinating while the doctors and nurses kept him stable. I was really afraid he had lost his mind, but today he got moved into normal care and recovery and he's starting to talk sense again. Still rather confused about what happened, but at least he's thinking straight. Still not out of the woods yet though, he needs to recover his ability to walk and given he had neuropathy before all this started that's quite concerning. In the meantime I'm working to adjust to the current normal and what improvements to my own life situation that I can. Still a bit too overwhelmed to do long form content yet, so I'm going to focus my energy on shorts for a while. If anyone has any suggestions for something that might fit the format I'm all ears. Also once again, thanks to everyone for the moral support, it really has been a beacon of hope throughout this whole ordeal. Hopefully I can get back to long form vids sooner or later, I know I've been putting off a certain Episode of something for far too long.
