Welcome to the Mind Palace is a concept animated series about a guy whose personality traits are "personified" as little people in his head. The Mind Palace itself includes everything from memories to life hacks to random stuff that happens. His "Sides" take on adventures of their own in His head, as he tries to go about his daily life.

This shot was pretty quick for us to complete, mainly because most of the heavy work was already completed around the layout stage. Not much else changed outside of animating the mouth/chin, as well as keyframing the flower to float around behind Serenity's head.
I ended up cutting/masking out the arm of the chair and the pillow separately from the sofa back, in order to blur everything behind Serenity to give it a more realistic bokeh and background blur.

This one was a fascinating one to figure out. What I ended up doing was taking the couch from the background image, and mask it out so that it was able to be layered on top of the character.
So the sequence went Couch > Dreamer > Background.
I added some additional shadows and blurring throughout the scene, especially around Dreamer's shoulders, so that it gives a better sense of depth in the scene. All things considered, I'm really proud of the technical aspect of how I put this scene together.

This was a cute shot that was pretty simple enough to complete, just three frames for the mouth and a static image for the rest of the body.
Special thanks to team animator Ampharox for their contribution during the douga/cleanup stage ^^

I’ve had the pleasure of testing out the Artist 12 3rd from @XPPen
Everything about this display tablet, from the portability and single cable connection (which is always a HUGE) plus for me, to the very satisfying dial and button combination (perfect for someone like me that requires a tactile experience) makes this a great product overall!
I’ve been able to take this with me on the go, it fits into any bag I own that also fits my laptop, and with only one cable and the included stand, everything fits into a compact carrying experience.
Also, drawing on this was super fun and satisfying. I didn’t have to worry about quality or glare, and the texture of the tablet made using it very fun and easy to draw on. The screen size is perfect for my preferences, and I am also able to use it as a display for other things like videos or images on my extended laptop display.
Please do consider checking out the Artist 12 3rd from XPPen, and thank you to the folks at XPPen for this collaboration! #ad #XPPen #Artist123rd

This was one of my favorite shots to create mainly because it combines so many different techniques that I enjoy doing in animation:
-Rotoscoping for the hand animation
-Layering multiple cels together to create a depth of field effect
-Objects and shadows interacting with other elements of the scene
-Bright glow-y effects to give a soft atmospheric effect
-Special thanks to animator Ampharox for their cleanup/in-betweens near the end of the process ^^

Idk why but I really love this hair design for Dreamer (I plan on making this one of the definitive hair designs for them when I create the final character sheet for Dreamer).
Similar to the previous scene, the Icon was animated separately floating alongside their head, to give a sense of motion in a static image. I also really enjoyed working at a slightly different angle than I normally do, as it gives more of a top-down view of the character in order to show them lower on the ground.

Big thank you to Gaomon for sending me the brand new PD1900 Pen Display for review.
I received this unit for free before it released, and I made an animation using this tablet.
