This is one of those scenes that I really enjoy making, especially with the subtle glow and shadows in the scene. It makes everything blend in much better than my previous attempts at anime compositing.

The flower Icon (Buddy) was drawn on a separate layer, and was keyframed separately from the main body in order to give some subtle movement to the scene (especially since they're indoors and there's no wind to blow their hair or clothes)

This is the first shot in the Huion review animation that ended up being storyboarded. I like fading in for the first shot, so it’s nice that I was able to include something a bit more cinematic this time around.

I originally wanted to add a logo on the box but I made the decision to leave it as blank so that it didn’t distract from the shot itself.

Finally biting the bullet and creating character ref sheets that i am most likely going to keep for my series moving forward.

This will be the default design for Dreamer: comfy, casual, pretty much what I would love to nap in every day. They will still keep the lab coat design (still changing/updating that) for their working scenes, but for the most part they will stay comfy ✨☁️

I've been animating in Clip Studio Paint since 2018, and the timeline confused me for way longer than I'd like to admit. In this video, I'm breaking down the four CSP timeline features that nobody actually explains to beginners: animation folders vs cels, how to copy/paste and extend frames, timeline markers and labels, and transform keyframes. Once I figured these out, animating in Clip Studio Paint got so much easier. If you've ever felt like the timeline is fighting against you, this one's for you.
