Take a bath, moisturise, eat and hydrate.
Smell good.
Take it day by day, pray/meditate/fast, journal, job search and then leave it to God.

Giving teenagers and daughters advice😅

I was browsing through social media and I just thought I should share one or two pieces of advice that my father gave my sisters and I regarding relationships while growing up.

This one time in our teenage years, our father told us to never date around our neighbourhood. Also, if we wanted to have sex, we must use protection because we were poor.
He said that neighbours and other family members were watching our every move so we should carry ourselves in a way that doesn't embarrass them as parents. He didn't shout and he didn't threaten us. But his approach made us understand his viewpoint.

Later as adults, he sat us down and said:
"Amadoda wes'manje manje ayahlanya. Everyday ngizwa izinto ezishaqisayo. As ubaba wenu ngithi asikho isidingo sokushada. Manifuna izingane, go to the sperm bank or adopt a child. Kungcono ubenengane uwedwa. Akusekho safe"

The way we laughed at him😂😂. Our dad was 60 at the time so we just did not expect him to say that. But that's when I realised ukuthi yah neh!🤣🤣

But all in all, the key is to start conversations as early as possible and be honest with your kids. If you're that type of parent that is scared to talk then you can't be angry when your teen daughter comes home pregnant or teen son impregnates someone.
