I've never been happy with my Fifth Element retrospective so I'm making a video essay with a more specific take on the film: how to make a hit original movie. This video will be both a celebration of this cult classic and advice for modern filmmakers who want to break through with an original movie. Next we have the start of a new series, Writing Masterclass. Similar to my Acting Masterclass series, these videos will examine the craft of writing through specific subjects. First up is the TOS classic, Balance of Terror. Then to round out the year, a more optimistic follow up to my video on AI.
