Capcom has launched a new website dedicated to Resident Evil's upcoming 30th anniversary in 2026. The website has a section marked 'Coming Soon' toward the bottom, so chances are Capcom is preparing something MASSIVE. For this occasion, Capcom has revealed a new artwork showcasing our favorite RE heroes and two new logos.

Capcom announces Resident Evil: Survival Unit, a cooperative spin-off for mobile.

After several unconvincing attempts on smartphones, Capcom doesn't seem ready to abandon the mobile market. The Japanese publisher is back at it again with Resident Evil: Survival Unit, a brand-new mobile project that aims to restore the license to its former glory on this medium.

The official presentation of the game is scheduled for this Thursday, July 10 at 11:59 p.m., but in the meantime, a few details have already been revealed.

The game will be presented as a real-time multiplayer survival shooter, incorporating strategic mechanics.

-The game is designed to appeal to fans and newcomers alike.


-Designed to last over the long term, the game will benefit from regular updates with new items, characters and missions.


-Players will have to form squads and cooperate to survive against waves of zombies and other iconic creatures from the series.


-The game is a collaboration between Capcom, Aniplex and JoyCity.


-Worldwide release is currently scheduled for late 2025 on Android & iOS.

Capcom has revealed that they tested open-world and online concepts for Resident Evil Requiem before opting for a traditional single-player game. This confirms that the rumors are true. Still, I can't help thinking that some of these things might be saved for an online mode for RE: REQUIEM...
