I promise I’m not colour blind! 😅
This Audi S3 drawing is 1 of 2 pieces I completed as wedding gifts for a client…
We struggled to find a decent reference so I went online, found the same car at a cool angle and based the drawing off that image.
I obviously changed the colour, added roof rails, changed the alloys, the side mirrors and front grill!
I did the same for their other piece (I’ll be revealing it tomorrow)…

These are limited edition fine art prints of the original coloured pencil drawing that took 20+ hours to complete! ⏰
Each print comes with a signed certificate of authenticity dated with when I finished the piece (28th of December 2024)
All are signed and numbered by me…

Been procrastinating about doing this for a while...
...was really unsure about what background to add to this piece and I was quite aware that I could very easily ruin 8 hours worth of sketching!
Recently had the idea of a green smoky background so got my airbrush and began spraying...
I've still got the foreground to do as I want to have the smoke wrapping around the front of the car once it's coloured in!
Going to be powering through the coloured pencil and marker part now!

I'm comparing Faber Castell Polychromos to Caran D'ache Luminance...
This is the Polychromos side (felt as though this beetle was a good subject for this experiment as it involves every colour in each set!)
Going to be doing the Luminance side today...
