To those outside of salvation looking in, following Jesus might seem foolish.
Being humble is not weakness. Loving your enemies, as exemplified by Jesus on the cross, requires a strength that transcends the human. This is the supernatural strength that can only come from God.
We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored! I Corinthians 4:10
Remember when you were a child, and the least little thing could bring you to tears? Remember all the silly fights and harsh words spoken because someone hurt your feelings. Did you ever grow up and leave that behavior behind? Paul said in I Corinthians 13 that when he became a man he put away childish things. The Holy Ghost helps you to do that. He helps you to grow up. To not let every little thing bother you. It’s time to grow up, to take on the mind of Christ, and do the will of the Lord.
