Freek grew up in Dasmariñas, Cavite, and started rapping at the age of 14, in an era when conscious generations were transformed by hip hop artists, innovative fashion choices, and explosive rap trends. His early experiences shaped his understanding of the world around him and would later shape his lyrical expression.
In 2018, he released the "I'M FREEK" Mixtape, which includes one of his iconic tracks, "More I Wanna Smoke." In 2020, he spit heavy-skill lyricism at the biggest hip-hop festival in the Philippines of his era, The FlipTop Festival. In 2021, and releasing a powerful music video along the way, "Tulong," directed by Arvin Belarmino "Kadiboy" ( the director has been selected for the prestigious Cannes FILM Festival 2022 Festival de Cannes Cinéfondation’s the Residence Program 44th Session! His feature film project "RIA" was selected at the 44th Cinefoundation - Residence du Festival Programme, which is part of the Festival de Cannes from March 1 to July 15, 2022.)
