Project update:

Visual effects are done for the first ~60% of the film.

Voice lines are mostly recorded, and added for the first 3 and a half minutes of the film.

Sound effects..... meh. It'll be last at this rate.

It'll be a solid week or so of work still I think.

My voice lines are complete (recording), and some preliminary lines are added to the project already.

Effects are coming along: first ~10 mins are mostly done.

This is a weird film: there's so many moving parts (in a good way) that my editing rhythm is off. But I think y'all will appreciate the world building.

PS: Dustin Dunestrom's (tan commander) voice was HARD to figure out. And then when I got it down it messed up multiple other voices I had to do. Voice acting ain't always glamorous...

➡️ Here at Plastic Army Men Studios, we strive to create a dynamic world for our viewers. This means we constantly have new characters in need of a voice... and for what’s coming in our series, I’ll need more talent.

❔This would be AUDITION based, meaning you’d have to send it a small portfolio and be a fit for the role. It would not be a guaranteed contribution just because you apply.
📖 The casting would probably start out as simple background roles, leading to POSSIBLY a major supporting character in successive films IF the role is a fit.

You’d have to meet the following criteria:

- 18 or older.

- High quality microphone/recording capabilities, including a makeshift studio.

- A place to record with NO background noise.

💲It would be UNPAID for now: our channel is currently NOT monetized, so I cannot afford payment presently (already investing my own time and money into these projects). FUTURE roles would likely be paid IF we are monetized, but there would be no retroactive pay for any past roles. Those who have had unpaid roles (or even auditioned for an unpaid role) would be given preferential treatment for future roles… assuming the role is a fit.

Hey all: I appreciate the patience! So here's where we're at:

🖥️ Finally able to lock in and give dedicated time + effort to the film in the next couple weeks.

🧾 Script is complete and sent out.

🗣️ I'm currently working on adding some basic lines to the film.

🔊 Sound design is also underway. This will flow better than normal since a solid 5-10 minutes of film has tank background... meaning I don't have to worry about syncing walking pace to movement.

💥Visual effects is making some solid progress... all my overlays of Tank FPV, weapon FPV, and binos are completed already. Effects are also heading to the next level in quality: I found some tricks that'll make them more realistic.

🎙️ I've been sick, but once my congestion clears I'll be working on my lines (this film is heavy on characters I voice).

I don't have percentage values yet for progress: I need a solid day or two to catch up in the editing flow and see where I'm really at. But I'll keep you posted, expect more regular updates over the next couple weeks. We're DEFINITELY looking at an early October release... possibly mid October.

Film run time is around ~36 minutes presently. Shooting is ALMOST done: just one short sequence I need to shoot tomorrow, and I'll be wrapped up.

Then I can focus on editing... it'll be a couple weeks. On the bright side, I already finished all the overlays (and added them), so its just script writing, voice overs, muzzle flashes, sound design, etc.
