What is Anurāgamu? — Tyagaraja Swamy’s Divine Teaching

In his beautiful kriti “Sujñānamu”, Sri Tyagaraja Swamy says:
“Anurāgamu lēni manasuna sujñānamu rādhu.”
A heart without love cannot receive true wisdom.

But what exactly is Anurāgamu?

Anurāgamu = Pure Love for God

Anurāgam is not ordinary love.
It is the sweet, soft, melting love that arises in the heart when we remember the Lord.
It pulls us naturally toward Him and fills our mind with peace.

✔ Remembrance without effort

This is the love Tyagaraja Swamy felt for Sri Rama.
