Hot take: The SSL 4000 is one of the most iconic consoles in history — but plenty of engineers bypass the preamps entirely and go straight to the bus. 🎚️
So here's the question: If you had access to an SSL 4000, what would YOU actually use it for?
🔴 Full mix through the desk
🟡 Just the summing & bus compression
🟢 EQ & dynamics only
⚪ Straight bypass it's all about the iron and the room
Drop your answer below 👇 and if you haven't seen what's hiding in our studio yet, the video is right here. We picked up an SSL 4000 mini console with channels allegedly from OutKast and Beyoncé sessions. Yeah. For real.

🎸 Producers & guitarists — what do you think of the new @ButtrFX plugin?
I’ve been testing it out, and honestly… it sounds scarily close to the real thing 😳
Do you think plugins like this could replace session guitarists, or will it always miss that human feel?
👉 Check out my full breakdown & A/B test here: [link]
Drop your take below 👇 — would you use BUTTR FX in your next session?
