30,000+ new followers on the Indie Folk 2025 playlist on Spotify this year, and I know many of you are following this particular list! THANK YOU! for being part of Indie Folk Central, so many of you shared the albums, videos, playlists. And so many just ENJOYED the vibe of it all 🤍

2025 came with more challenges than expected, and there have been less videos and albums than what I was aiming for. But your support and encouraging messages made the difficult moments lighter. And I'm looking forward to see what 2026 will bring! Already prepping things for early 2026 release, but I’m going to take things a bit slower this month, to recharge and come back stronger. No New Indie Folk YouTube video this month and the Best of 2025 will move to January:

Hey everyone 👋 Hope you’ve been enjoying the recent uploads! I’m currently working on a bigger video that should be out next week, and I’m really excited to share it with you. You might have noticed the “2025” in the channel name. This is just to make the difference between this channel and the original ⁨‪@IndieFolkCentral‬ ⁩ a bit clearer. From time to time there will still be new uploads on the main channel, but since it’s unlikely YouTube will fix the bug, the main focus will stay right here. The “2025” will simply become “2026” next year and so on, so you can easily find the right channel for the latest releases. Indie Folk Central 2026

Hey everyone! A new video is out and it kinda feels strange to have to say this, but I'm writing this post without the use of ChatGPT and this entire video and all the music on it, have been created without an AI assistant. It's fully human made. Just like everything that gets published on any of the Indie Folk Central outlets. In the recent months, AI has taken over most of the music channels here on YouTube and it seems those AI channels are getting a lot of attention. You might have actually been listening to a few of them without realizing it's fully AI. And most likely a few AI comments will appear on this video as well from AI channels, like they always do. I might delete them. I might keep them. I might comment on them. But I hope you, as a listener, will choose to look up the REAL human curated channels with music by real humans/artists. The indie artists are getting more difficult to find these days, but to keep the indie music scene alive, it's important to keep listening to music made by real people. Spotify is also getting floated with AI tracks these days, hopefully this nonesense will stop at some point. Our playlists will always be 100% human made, without AI tracks (as long as you have the 'ai smart shuffle' on spotify disabled). And although YouTube might not be recommending the videos to new audience anymore, I will continue with releasing the indie folk videos, albums, playlists, in the hope that enough people will still enjoy it.
