Elephants are the largest land animals on Earth, known for their intelligence, strong memory, and complex social structures. They live in matriarch-led family groups, communicate through deep rumbles, and can consume up to 150 kg of food a day. With tusks that are actually elongated teeth and large ears that help regulate body temperature, elephants are both powerful and gentle. Found in Africa and Asia, they love water, are excellent swimmers, and baby elephants—called calves—can weigh up to 100 kg at birth.
