Rangoli is an art form which is most often made during festivals in India. It's purpose is decoration and is thought to bring good luck. Often rangoli designs are passed from one generation to next , keeping both the art form and tradition alive. Rangoli patterns are created on floor using materials such as coloured lime stone powder, flower petals, coloured dry rice powder, colourful stones, etc.
