What’s an Ally???

I was on a call yesterday with a student turned into a partner yesterday and he told me I am finally starting to see and understand this Allies thing you’ve been saying and talking about for years!

I said yea whats that? He said “I could never understand how and why you got so much done and how you had your hands in so much stuff and kept it all together until now”!

But after being in your coaching program for 3 years now, I have created a bunch of great partnerships that are making me money 💰 in different areas with some great Allies from the group you created!

I said Bingo!…. ALLIES ARE THE GREATEST ASSET CLASS OUT THERE!… NOT THE ASSET CLASS ITSELF!!! Without great people “ALLIES” to work with…. nothing happens!

Great PeopIe Are The Greatest Asset Class!!!… Not the Asset Class Itself!

You can’t do anything great without an awesome group of guys to work with!… PERIOD!!!

An Ally is someone who has a mutual allignment of goals and ambitions that they work towards together in achieving financial goals through coordinated Skill Sets and shared labor and value they bring toward a known goal!

-We dont have to tell each other how much we like each other or how much we enjoy each others company!

-We don’t hang out for the sake of hanging out!

-We don’t waste time with mindless entertainment!

-We don’t talk about sports stars or the lastest scandal or gossip or bullshit!

-We are not at the club or bar!

-We are not partying!

-We not chasing “bit$hes”

Where we are!

- At social gatherings to network!

- At local meetups!

- At masterminds!

- At business conferences!

- On business social media groups trying to network and accumulate knowledge.

1.) We don’t need to tell each other how much we like each other… Our actions speak for themselves!

2.) We enjoy each others company because we bring value to each others lives through engagement of mutual activities that produce wealth and cashflow that helps us provide for our families!

3.) We can be BRUTALLY HONEST with them with no fluff, bullshit, or backlash!

4.) We help each other make money by sharing equal but opposite skill sets toward a business endeavor!

5.) We actually care about ones wellbeing because it effects the wellbeing of ourselves and the group!

6.) We always push each other to be better!

7.) We dont snake 🐍 each other!

8.) We lose together with grace and win together!

9.) We stay in our lanes of responsibility and Skill sets of the value we bring to the table!

10.) I can count on them to show up when needed and keep their word!

When I was a young Entrepreneur in my 20’s and 30’s I was very hard heading and prideful that I can do all the work myself and no one can do it better than me!… You can’t outwork twenty partners!!!… ALLIES!!!

Now in my mid forties I understand the power of leveraging strategic partnerships “Allies”!!!… Doesn’t mean everything is always perfect but, shit goes right a whole lot more than it does go wrong!

Competition happens at the bottom. The people at the top are collaborating!!!

SEQUENCING is super important!

Doing things in the correct order is important!

Just like you don’t fram a house or put a roof on before you have a solid foundation!!!… “FAST ROLLS INTO MEDUIM. Followed by SLOW MONEY STRATEGIES!… IN THAT ORDER!!… OTHERWISE YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS!!!

1.) Fast money= Stacking Cash 💵 First and Foremost! 30 day life cycle 🔄 or less!

2.) Medium money= More aggressive and riskier investment but, pays out better returns. 3-6 month life cycle!

3.) Slow money= Wealth building over time. 3-5 year cycle depending on the size of the asset!

This is a Gradient Scale of RISK and Logic by Association!… Meaning they all tie into one another via time conversion cycle 🔄 and different stages of risk!!

1.) Wholesaling, W2, Service based Small Business, etc…. Not that risky! “FAST MONEY”

2.) Flipping, Small Land development jobs aka “Trailer Land Home Packages” Contractor/ GC Work!…. A little more risky but, way more profitable! “Medium Money”

3.) Land Development, Buy & Hold, Etc. etc. Way more riskier but bigger pay 💰 over a longer stretch of time!…. “SLOW MONEY”

If you do these out of order it will slow you down and handicap your progress!!!…. Doesn’t mean you can’t do them out of order. Just means you have a higher likelihood of being successful and less stressful!

This is not my opinion! This is what I have experienced, watched, and observed from other investors and entrepreneurs!… Just be AWARE of this phenomenon!

This is a SUPER POWER and an UNFAIR ADVANTAGE in business if you can figure it out for yourself!

Just trying to stay Married over a duration of time is a business all by itself! However, if you can make your greatest Ally your best business partner also…. You hit the jackpot and got it made!

There is nothing more fun than building wealth with your wife as a team if you can put the pieces together correctly in the right order!

First and foremost there are seasons to life and marriage that are not ideal for a marriage / business relationship.

Patti and I were not always business partners in our twenties and early thirties due to the 8 pregnancy’s and 5 children we had from 17-34 years old.

Patti was in Momma Mode and was a stay at home mom for that season of life as she should be. Although she did have a real estate license she was too busy raising children while I provided!

Furthermore, I was running 4 quick lube mechanic shops at the time and Patti was not a gear head like I was and really didn’t like the business at all!

However, as we got older and stopped wipping so many asses everyday and the tide of change moved from baby phase to young children. Patti, wanted to get back to working not because she had to but, because she thoroughly enjoys working and being productive just like me.

And this was when she decided she wanted to focus on real estate investing with me once I decided to sell all my shops and do real estate investing back in 2014 full time.

Key points to a Marriage/ Business Relationship!

1.) The first thing you are going to have to do if you have children is get some help! You need babysitter/ Nannies to help run the day to day operations of children rearing! Yes it is a business also! Furthermore, you need a break from your children if you are really going to enjoy them!

2.) Mutual affinity for the same endeavor! You both have to really like the business model.

3.) Divisions of labor. There has to be clear understanding of who’s doing what and why!

4.) Skill sets! Patti and I naturally complement each others SKILL SETS because she is really good at what I am not and vice versa! She doesn’t like the negotiation part and finding the deals like I do but is really amazing and very talented at designing and decorating!…. I hate that part of the business! She also organizes all our Allies masterminds.

5.) Clear expectations! She knows what to do and what shes responsible for and so do I and we stay in our lanes and I don’t question her because I know shes better at that than I am and vice versa!

6.) Who makes the decisions and why! I typically make the final decision and determination on what we are going to do investment and business wise and she knows and understands that so that we don’t butt heads… Although sometimes we disagree on things but not often!

7.) Her intuition about other men that want to partner with me although, I hate to say this but, shes always been right about other mens intentions toward me! Listen 👂 Fellas! You need to listen to your wifes about other men! I swear they have a sixth sense! 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣✊🏼

8.) It takes a village! We have nannies, home school teachers, office secretaries, contractors, and a bunch of great partners that are all align!

9.) Get out of prison with the ASS BACKWARDS school system and hire your own in house teacher like we did!…. BEST DECISION WE EVER MADE!!!… Wish we would have done it earlier!!!

10.) We live a GUMBO LIFE!!!… Meaning we mix Business, Life, Children, Work, and Play all together!

There are alot more points I can get into but for the sake of a long drown out post, these are the basics!

Furthermore, but most importantly is there is no right way of doing this! You have to figure out what works best for you and your circumstances and what you and your wife are naturally good at and mesh it all together to plug and play!!!

There’s is no more of a fun game than the game of building and providing with your BEST ALLY and loved one towards something that is for both of you and your children!
