I'm Alex Garbus, also known as Garbotron, Corngamer, and just simply Garb. I'm a game developer with too many game ideas looking to share my creations with the world! I also like corn! 🌽
Hello people that probably don't even remember that they're subscribed to me!
Tomorrow, September 12th, the nonprofit organization Louisville Makes Games will be hosting an all-day fundraiser livestream as part of the Give for Good Louisville event! LMG aims to support local independent game development through free public meetups, jams, and classes. As such, the stream will showcase several locally-made indie games - including previews of some in-development projects - as well as live game development using donor-submitted themes.
I myself will be appearing on the stream at 8 PM EST to showcase an older project I made as part of an LMG-hosted game jam, but I encourage tuning in throughout the day to see all sorts of unique games that you likely didn't even know existed!
Also people will be forced to eat hot peppers and that can only end well. :)
Not gonna post a video of this because it's really short, but I made a game about a very fast turtle this weekend for Ludum Dare 53! It is not well-made in the slightest, but it exists! Check it out: alexgarbus.itch.io/rutabaga-rocket
Demo'd the funny corn game this weekend and got a lot of great feedback! I shall now proceed to implement none of it for like a week because burnout prevention is key to a healthy diet.
A #GarbNCorncob Direct is coming your way! The archive will be uploaded here on April 2nd, but early birds can tune in to twitch.tv/alexgarbus on April 1st to hear new info about the upcoming game!
Hey all! I made a game for Train Jam 2019! It's a 2-4 player racing game called Iguana Dash! I'll post a gameplay video when I get the chance, but until then, feel free to check out the game here: alexgarbus.itch.io/iguana-dash
Hey everyone. I want to apologize for my inactivity here. To put it simply, I just no longer have a desire to create video content beyond promotional trailers for my other projects. I plan on making an update video sometime next month to explain more about what's been going on and what the future of this channel holds, but I wanted to go ahead and make a brief post now so that I could stop leaving people hanging.
In the meantime, if you wish to stay up-to-date on my stuff, I am currently most active on Twitch and Discord. You can find links for these platforms, as well as my other social media accounts, on my channel page.
Garb Streams is going on hiatus for the time being. I need time to focus on my health and develop a plan for the future. More info here: alexgarbus.com/2018/08/16/streaming-hiatus/
Hey all! Corncob has created a Twitter account to post updates on stuff I'm working on! He'll be posting pics from this weekend's Vector conference, so be sure to give him a follow: twitter.com/CorncobTweets
Hey everyone. I'm unfortunately going to be taking a break from streams for the next 2 weeks. I've been trying to keep up my rate of 1 stream per week, but right now I've got a lot of deadlines coming up that I need to focus my energy into. In addition, I just don't feel that I'm in a good mindset for streaming right now (stressed, low energy, etc.) and I need to take some time to refresh myself. As a reminder, I give notice of my streams in advance on my Discord, so please join if you want to keep up-to-date on my plans: discord.gg/MuXHPYU In other news, I have a domain now: alexgarbus.com/! Now you have an easy-to-remember URL for when your friends ask you where they can download the KFC furry games!
