We’re Kristen & Michael, a husband and wife duo renovating, designing, and hosting magical short-term rentals in the Joshua Tree desert.

In 2021 we bought and transformed The Seventh Ray House, our dreamy desert Airbnb on 5 acres. Now we’re restoring an abandoned 1950s homestead cabin next door and turning it into our next short-term rental, one dusty weekend at a time.

On this channel, we share the real behind-the-scenes of Airbnb hosting, desert renovations, design, guest experience, STR strategy, budgets, mistakes, family life, and building a creative business from scratch.
