☀️ A Little Update & A Sea of Gold! 🌼

Hey everyone! We’re taking a tiny breather from our long-form schedule this week to soak up every bit of this incredible German spring. 🇩🇪✨

Instead of sitting behind our editing screens, we’ve been spending our days taking long walks through the stunning rapeseed fields and finally getting some work done in the yard. It is so beautiful out there right now, we just couldn't resist!

We are still hard at work editing our Ulm travel video! It’s looking great, and we’re on track to have it ready for our usual time next week. Thank you for your patience!

Our Gran Canaria series continues today and we have a very special story to share! 🇮🇨

Meet Ollie, one of our incredible viewers who turned into our unofficial travel guide! Not only did he help us plan this entire leg of the trip, but he was the mastermind behind where we stayed, which historic cities we explored, and the "can't-miss" hidden gems.

Since our trips overlapped, we got to meet up several times, and Ollie even took the wheel to drive us through those wild, windy roads to Mirador del Balcón for the most legendary sunset of the journey! 🌅

Hi everyone! We’ve been a bit quiet lately as we’ve been traveling and spending some wonderful quality time with family. We’re sorry we missed our upload last week, but we’re back on track!

We have a bit of a surprise for you—we’ve actually traveled quite a bit since our last video in the snowy Dolomites! We just wrapped up an incredible series in Gran Canaria (which we can't wait to show you soon), and now we’ve landed in the stunning red rocks of Moab, Utah.

This Saturday, we’re taking a quick "intermission" from the travel vlogs to share a very important video about the "Healthcare Trap" we found while working in Germany as U.S. retirees. It’s a must-watch for anyone considering the expat life!

We fell a little bit in love with Freiburg im Breisgau this Christmas… ❤️🎄

These photos didn’t even make it into our YouTube video – a few “real life” moments from two retired Americans enjoying this charming market. We ate some delicious Flammlachs (smoked salmon in a roll) but forgot to film it. Trust us, it was quite delicious. 😅

Freiburg is also the perfect base for Christmas market hopping. Not only does it have its own amazing markets, but it’s ideally located for easy day trips — Alsace markets like Colmar and Strasbourg are about an hour away, and you can even take a free train ride to Basel, Switzerland with your Deutschland Ticket.

Best of all, hotels in Freiburg are easier to find and far more affordable than in those nearby hotspots. And Freiburg even offers a direct shuttle to the famous Ravenna Gorge Christmas Market.
