When a major national festival’s holiday is shifted by the central government, the university is expected to respect that change so every student can celebrate with their family. Forcing students to choose between their career and their faith/family is completely unfair. If a similar situation happened during festivals like Diwali, the public and administrative reaction would have been entirely different. Secularism and inclusivity mean respecting all festivals equally.
While we strongly condemn this rigid approach by the DU administration, please do not skip your exam in frustration. The system won't lose anything, but a missed paper will harm your hard work and academic year.
