Hello, I’m Helen — a Dyscalculia Specialist.

I’m passionate about supporting children and adults who find maths challenging, especially those with dyscalculia. I believe that everyone can learn maths with the right approach, the right support, and the right encouragement.

My work focuses on making maths accessible, engaging, and confidence-building. I create fun, inventive resources and hands-on learning experiences that help break down barriers and make numbers feel less intimidating. By combining creativity with structured support, I help learners develop understanding, resilience, and a more positive relationship with maths.

I love sharing practical ideas and innovative strategies that empower parents, educators, and learners alike. Maths doesn’t have to be overwhelming — with the right tools, it can be meaningful, achievable, and even enjoyable.

I am also keen to support those preparing for their GCSE exams through sharing walk throughs of past paper exam questions.

Another race day… Laser run. Another race I had to pull out of!!

Lilly and Evie battled hard.. 10th for Lilly and 9th for Evie! Chris finished 23rd 🙂

Triathle day. I shouldn’t have raced today 😔 but I did… and the injury was even angrier than in the biathle. Running just wasn’t happening. Oh and my pistol’s sights had come loose so that was fun trying to hit the target!! I’m not even sure where I finished - gutted to not be able to race properly!

Lilly and Evie had yet another impressive day. Evie took 3rd and Lilly 6th!!

Biathle relay day. I was meant to race but I was struggling to walk so had to step out of my relay team. Gutted is an understatement.

Super proud of Lilly and Evie yet again! Evie and her partner finished 1st!!! Lilly and her partner finished 2nd… unfortunately no medal though as they only award one medal to each country and there was also a GB team who came first!!

The biathle races started today. I’m gutted I couldn’t run like usual, pleased I made the podium (3rd) on an injury and super proud of Evie who came 2nd, Lilly who had to wait an hour to hear who they were giving 3rd and 4th to - they gave her 4th! And Chris a strong 13th.
