I'm an angler and fossil hunter, and I'm here to share my nature adventures in the Topsail Island, NC area. I'm a trained nurse, but I have been out of work for two years due to a rare chronic illness of the nervous system called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. It has affected my life in every way, but I'm thankful that it took me to Topsail. I've been obsessed with sharks since forever, and Topsail has great fossil hunting. My boyfriend introduced me to fishing in the area a year ago, and I was quickly hooked. These two hobbies have helped me focus on the nature and beauty around me, instead of the never ending storm that's going in my body. I hope that you enjoy my videos. I'll try to be myself and show you how thrilling landing an over slot red drum is, and the magic you feel when youre the first human to hold a fossil that's at least 5 million years old. Fins and Fossils
Hello friends! I posted to my Instagram @finsandfossils but forgot to post here, which is probably the most important place. My sweet Oshie boy had surgery yesterday to remove a cancerous tumor on his paw. I posted a video here one night, a couple weeks ago, asking for help, because I couldn’t afford his surgery. I took it down after about 8 hours because, frankly, I was embarrassed I had to do it. But y’all came through for me, and helped me raise enough to get Oshie taken care of, with some help from friends and family as well. I want to personally thank my sister Marian, Ms Reba at East Coast Sports, Jimmy G, Keith C, Victor B, Nathan P, Travis H, Stan S, Brian L, Kevin K, Thomas M, Anthony J, Jake V, Donald R, Billy M, Randy S, Mike A, David H, Marco, and John A, for helping me with either direct donations, or through purchasing something from my Etsy Shop (also Fins and Fossils). I can’t tell you how much this meant to Oshie and myself. I am forever grateful, as you’ve helped to save my best friend. Sorry I haven’t given y’all an update until now. Honestly I’ve been a bundle of nerves, and have been focused on making more shark tooth necklaces etc in order to get ahead after all of this. Hopefully Oshie’s wound heals quickly, and I can get back out fishing here shortly. It looks like the next fishable weather isn’t until Sunday anyway, so I’m hoping for at least some pier fishing then. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I love you all and am thankful for the opportunity to share my fishing, and now my life, with you. ❤️🐶🦈

Hey y’all! I’ve finally got these sheepshead figured out. Would you like to see another video from the pier? I also have plans to look for some monster ones off the kayak here soon, just waiting for the right conditions. Thank you for all your support!

Hey y'all! While we've been waiting for the water temps to cool down here in NC, I got the chance to be a guest on a podcast! I had a great time talking fishing, and my crazy road that led to it, with Eric Williams, podcast host and fishing youtuber! Make sure to subscribe to his channel. And I will have some new videos for you soon, I just moved into a new place and am getting my "editing studio" arranged with the best Feng Shui.
