This year, I wanna focus more on direct engagement with my listeners and less on streaming platforms - so I’m setting a goal to sell 500 albums this year through Bandcamp. Each album starts at $1 on my bandcamp and comes with behind the scenes content like unreleased merch designs, songs, and other bonus content!

Why in 2026 should you BUY an album opposed to streaming it?
It is better as a listener AND as an artist! As a listener you are paying monthly fee after another to basically rent listening rights to your favorite music, when you buy the digital download you own it forever no matter where you are or what device you are on and it’s usually tons cheaper than that pesky subscription. With independent artists especially, an album sale could mean being able to get to their next gig, booking an artist, or even just a meal for the night.
As an artist one album sale can be the equivalent to hundreds or even thousands of streams, earning more revenue allows you to keep doing what you love. You can also focus more on what your current fans enjoy as well as give them bonus content that they wouldn’t otherwise get!
