On August 4, bassist Akiyoshi Shimizu brings his septet to BODY&SOUL, Tokyo, with an unusual combination of flutes, clarinet and bass clarinet.
Expect intricate arrangements, rich low-register colors and the intimacy of chamber music—reimagined through modern Japanese jazz.
The performance is part of the BODY&SOUL Legacy Sessions, honoring the legendary club and its founder, Kyoko “Mama” Seki, during its historic final chapter.
